Canon Selphy ES40 printer

Printing fun for kids and families with the funky Seply ES40 photo printer.

Kid and adults alike will love this charming looking, highly portable and easy to use photo printer, a refresh on the popular ES2 version.

This brightly coloured printer has a 3.5-inch LCD on the front and a scrollwheel to navigate through the menus. There is voice guidance for help replacing ink cartridges or photo paper and a handle on top for easy portability.

The Selphy takes up to 15 different kinds of digital camera flash memory cards as well as direct connection to compatible cameras so you can print right after snapping your pictures.

What you get printed out are postcard-sized images (4x6 prints) and these take about 55 seconds each to print and there is a 50 sheet output tray. You don't have to have a Canon camera with PictBridge but if you do you can print the photos directly from the camera via USB without removing the memory card and inserting it into the printer itself.

I know this printer is aimed at kids but I really enjoy this range of Canon Selphy printers and love the dinky design and quick photo-printing with almost instant postcard snaps at your fingertips.
