If you like your earphones affordable, so comfortable that you can hardly feel them in your ears and with good solid sound that you could almost bounce a penny off, then grab a pair of Jivo's sound-isolating earphones.
These little black earphones are a nice affordable buy at €19.99 and the sound, in comparison to those famous white earbuds from Apple, is definitely superior.
The blurb claims that the earphones reduce background noise by up to 70pc and I would well believe it - after popping these earbuds in you are totally immersed in what you are listening to.
I tested the Ji-1050's out on both a HP laptop, iPod nano and BlackBerry Storm and the results were great each time.
Unfortunately, they will not fit into my first-generation iPhone due to the recessed audio-in design feature, but they look like they will work with almost all other MP3 players and some phones, although many manufacturers tend to have specialised earphone connections, so make sure your audio device has a 3.5mm stereo headphone socket.
These lightweight earphones come in black and white, and more recently also in pink because Jivo is sponsoring the Marie Keating Foundation and donating a percentage of each one purchased to the organisation.

Obviously, there are hardcore earphones out there that cost hundreds of euro, but if you are not a complete audiophile or just want a pair of lightweight earphones to attach to your MP3 player while catching the bus or out for a jog, then these babies are the perfect choice.
Price: €19.99 from Jivo.co.uk and Ryanair.
Pros: Wallet-friendly and great sound to boot
Cons: The attachment doesn't fit in the original 2G iPhone
