Ireland's first recruitment app launches

Online recruitment service txtAjob.ie, which already does straight-to-phone SMS alerts for job seekers, has launched the country's first recruitment app for the iPhone, for both recruitment agencies and job seekers.

The txtAjob.ie iPhone app, developed by iMobile, provides links to txtAjob's social-networking sites, including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, as well as a live link for up-to-the-minute updates on new jobs postings.

Aside from this, it provides the same functionality as the previous Java/Symbian mobile app already released by the company.

TxtAjob.ie currently has more than 2,700 job vacancies across 84 different job categories, ranging from professional to trade positions, plus an overseas section for vacancies abroad.

The txtAjob.ie iPhone app is free to download from the Apple App Store.
