Samsung's 3D TV to launch in Europe next month

It looks as though electronics giant Samsung will be the first to bring 3D television into the home in Europe as the company announced that its 3D LED TV will begin shipping in March.

These full HD 1,080p 3D-ready LED-backlit units will most likely go on sale from some time next month in Ireland with 3D plasma TVs shipping throughout Europe sometime in "late spring", said Samsung.

The 3D LED TVs will have built-in wireless connectivity as well as an ethernet connection and Samsung's own Internet@TV app store that has widgets, including one from Irish online music video service MUZU.TV.

The BD-C6900, a 3D Blu-ray player from Samsung, is also expected to go on sale some time this spring.
