TomTom's new iPhone car kit has GPS booster
19.02.2010

TomTom has added a second car kit for the iPhone to its line-up: the ProClip, which screws onto your car rather than attaching to the windscreen.
The ProClip is basically like your fixed sat-nav mount and sticks to a permanent location in your car, and the added bits that make it appealing are the GPS booster for places with spotty reception as well as a built-in microphone for making and receiving hands-free calls while driving.
There is also an in-car charger - essential for a smart phone like the iPhone that tends to suffer from rapid battery drain.
Also, for those of us who like a good music experience, the kit comes with an audio out connector for playing music from your iPhone through the car stereo, but importantly it fades out when you get an incoming call or when the sat-nav voice is giving instructions.
Price: €99.99 RRP
Available: Pre-order now via TomTom.com and tomtom-proclip.com.
