Google unveils new beta version of Chrome for Macs

Just in time for MacWorld this weekend, Google has unveiled a new beta version of its Chrome browser for Mac computers that allows users to share their bookmarks across several computers.
The new version of the beta which debuted in December allows Mac users to install any of more than 2,200 extensions and counting from the Chrome extensions gallery.
"For this release, we remained focused on providing a snappy, safe, and simple browsing experience on the Mac," said Mark Mentovei, software engineer on Google Chrome.
Mentovei said that those users who use several computers will now be able to keep their bookmarks synchronised between them.
"If some of your computers aren't Macs, don't worry: bookmark sync works in Chrome for Linux and Windows, too.
"We also added bookmark and cookie managers in a way that feels completely at home on the Mac. For technically-oriented users, our new Task Manager will help you keep tabs on all of your tabs."
Mentovei said that existing Chrome users should be automatically updated to the new beta over the next 24 hours or by searching for version 5.0.307.
