Sony Ericsson's Vivaz phone brings HD recording
21.01.2010

Sony's Ericsson's newly announced Vivaz handset is possibly the sexiest handset the phone company has designed to date in terms of both design and functionality.
It's all about the HD
For those of us that love to film and love YouTube, this 8.1-megapixelled handset with 4-inch digital zoom has high-definition video-recording capability and continuous autofocus to keep images crisp and clear.
Because of the nature of HD footage you won't actually be able to watch this footage online or upload it from the Vivaz unless you do it through a Wi-Fi connection.
Footage upload to YouTube or Picasa in the background while you're using other apps on the phone.
Ooh, shiny!
In terms of design, the handset has a bright, sharp 3.2-inch touchscreen and the back is all curves and comes in Moon Silver, Cosmic Black, Galaxy Blue and Venus Ruby - in order words shiny, slightly metallic hues.
The Vivaz has all the Sony Ericsson photo features, including face detection for photos, geo tagging, image stabiliser, smile detection and touch capture.
