Pop goes Nokia with 6700 series
24.11.2009

Nokia's latest slider handset is all about the social web and paying homage to the poptastic acid brightness of the Eighties with the dinky and adorable 3G 6700 series.
Due on the market sometime in early 2010, the 6700 comes in six bright colours, including lime green and shocking pink, and the aluminium finish gives it a reassuringly expensive modern look.
Boasting a five-megapixel camera, Carl Zeiss optics, dual LED flash and a dedicated camera button, this phone has superior imaging, which feeds into its strengths as a mobile social tool.
With 3G connectivity and social networking integration through Ovi, the 6700 series is all about sharing words and images and keeping in touch with your friends.
This ultra-cute handset has an ERP of €160 while the equally shiny and brand new Nokia 7230 has an ERP of €100 and sports a 3.2-megapixel camera and 2.4-inch display as well as having 3G connectivity.

Both phones have the option for extra memory on board with a micro SD card slot and the 7230 comes with a 2GB card.
Cutesy? Yes, but don't let the brightly coloured exterior of the 6700 fool you, this is a well-designed handset with a superior on-board camera that will most definitely find its way into the hands and lives of plenty of teenagers.
